Chain
tension should be checked before any cutting and also periodically
throughout the job. To adjust chain tension, follow these steps:
FINE ADJUSTMENT REMOVE THE BEAM CUTTER FROM THE SAW BEFORE PERFORMING FINE ADJUSTMENT
1. Loosen the chain adjustment lever
screw with a 5/32" hexkey wrench.
2.VERY
IMPORTANT - Loosen hinge bolt (P7042) before using fine adjustment.
3. Push the lever down to obtain proper
tension.
4. Re-tighten the lever screw
and hinge bolt.
GROSS ADJUSTMENT
The fine adjustment is only effective up to 1/8" adjustment. For more adjustment,
loosen the chain bar bolt (P7034) and slide the chain bar downward to tighten
the chain.
